Grand-Prix: Raffaele De Rosa
On June 17, 2008, in the gallery “Rakurs” (second floor) took place the opening of the 1st Minsk International Biennale of modern painting “COLORFEST”.
The international biennale of the modern painting first takes place in Belarus. At the exhibition are displayed over 140 works by artists from Italy, Germany, Armenia, Serbia, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Estonia, Poland, Latvia, and Lithuania.
In the framework of the event took place a contest which was reviewed by the International jury headed by G.H. Vaschenko, the people’s artist of Belarus. Winners of the contest were rewarded with diplomas “For an original plastic decision”, “For a high quality of performance”, an as well diplomas of the Ist and IInd degree. Raphael de Rosa, the artist from Italy, won the grand-prix for a triptych “Theater”.
At the event took place performances of a brass band “Bross Brothers”, step-swing-jazz show-ballet “Ozornyje Ogonky”, and a performance group “Mekhanyory Cultury”.
